Yap MCP is a free, open-source MCP server that lets Claude, Cursor, VS Code and any MCP client transcribe local audio and video files entirely on your computer with NVIDIA Parakeet TDT v3. It detects 25 European languages automatically, adds optional timestamps, and works offline after a one-time 670 MB model download. Nothing is uploaded and no account is needed. It runs on macOS, Windows and Linux with Node.js 20 or later under the MIT license.
