Overview
In the maker's words.
Autorec is a small tray app for Linux, Windows and macOS (Apple Silicon) that records video meetings on its own. When a Zoom, Teams or Google Meet call starts, it captures the meeting window and audio to a plain MP4 on your disk. Nothing joins the call, so there's no bot for anyone to see.
After the call, whisper.cpp transcribes the recording on your own CPU or GPU and saves TXT and SRT files. Summaries are optional and use any OpenAI-compatible endpoint you pick, including a local Ollama or LM Studio model.
Free tier: 3 recordings per 24 hours, 40 minutes each, all features. A one-time license removes the caps on up to 5 devices. No subscription.
