Yap Audio to Text turns an MP3, M4A, WAV or video file into editable text, plus SRT or VTT subtitles with real start and end times. OpenAI's Whisper speech model runs inside your browser, so your file is never uploaded to a server. Files up to 60 minutes and 300 MB. Choose English only, or any of 99 languages with automatic detection (the speech is transcribed, never translated). Long recordings are cut at natural pauses so every subtitle has accurate timing.
